Need a Job?

The US Census Bureau is now hiring!

-Great pay! Census takers start at $16.50 an hour
-Flexible hours, part-time and full-time positions available
-Paid training, reimbursement for mileage and parking
-Stay local--work right in your own community

The U.S. Census Bureau is recruiting temporary, part-time and full-time census takers for the 2010 Census. These short-term jobs offer good pay, flexible hours, paid training, and reimbursement for authorized work-related expenses, such as mileage incurred while conducting census work. Census takers will typically work right in their own communities going door to door and speaking to households who did not mail back their Census form. Bilingual speakers are highly encouraged to apply.

The work you’ll do is important, and you’ll work for a widely recognized government agency—the U.S. Census Bureau. You’ll be helping your community gain access to federal funding for parks, roads and other services through an accurate population count, as well as determining our representation in Congress. And, for those looking to build up their résumés, a Census job will demonstrate your initiative, independence, responsibility, reliability, and ability to work as a member of a team.
2010 Census Jobs are ideal for retirees, students or recent graduates 18 and older, stay-at-home parents, and anybody looking for a part-time, temporary, or second job. Be a part of history—apply today!
