We are inviting graduating seniors of Chinese descent to apply for merit scholarships from the San Diego Chinese Women’s Association. Available are one-time scholarships of $1,500 or $500, depending on the type of degree sought. In 2009, we awarded six $1,500 grants. Eligibility information and the application form are posted on our Association website, http://www.sdcwa.net. Applications must be postmarked by Thursday, April 1, 2010. Margaret Wing-Peterson 2010 SDCWA Scholarship Committee ANNOUNCEMENT: Scholarships from the San Diego Chinese Women’s Association are available for graduating seniors who will be continuing their education in Fall 2010. The one-time merit award is $1,500 for a student entering a four-year college program and $500 for those going onto community college or vocational school. Last year, a total of $9,000 was awarded to six students throughout the County. Awards are open to both male and female graduating seniors of at least one-quarter Chinese descent, who have a minimum weighted 3.0 GPA. Applications are now available on the Association’s website, http://www.sdcwa.net. Deadline for submission is April 1, 2010. All eligible students are urged to apply!
