Dear Ms. Murphy:Could you pls pass this along to the SDHS Counseling Office? We are inviting graduating seniors of Chinese descent to apply for merit scholarships from the San Diego Chinese Women’s Association. Available are one-time scholarships of $1,500 or $500, depending on the type of degree sought. In 2009, we awarded six $1,500 grants. Eligibility information and the application form are posted on our Association website, http://www.sdcwa.net. Applications must be postmarked by Thursday, April 1, 2010. Margaret Wing-Peterson 2010 SDCWA Scholarship Committee ANNOUNCEMENT: Scholarships from the San Diego Chinese Women’s Association are available for graduating seniors who will be continuing their education in Fall 2010. The one-time merit award is $1,500 for a student entering a four-year college program and $500 for those going onto community college or vocational school. Last year, a total of $9,000 was awarded to six students throughout the County. Awards are open to both male and female graduating seniors of at least one-quarter Chinese descent, who have a minimum weighted 3.0 GPA. Applications are now available on the Association’s website, http://www.sdcwa.net. Deadline for submission is April 1, 2010. All eligible students are urged to apply!
